How do you choose a Christmas gift for a baby? Tough question.  While there are toys galore available, a very young baby does little more than sleep and eat and… well, need a fresh diaper. Their senses are developing and soon they will do wonderful things like discover their feet and toes and fingers.

From my perspective, a toy for a first Christmas will just fall into the jumble of things received at showers and at birth or christening.  I like to give a gift that will be significant as the child grows up. 

I think a piggy bank is a great gift idea. Have it personalized with the baby's name and birthdate. I will look lovely in the nursery for now, and will transition to a childs room as he or she ages.

Also, if you are buying for a niece, nephew, or a friend's baby, you can always sneak an extra coin or two inside when you are visiting. Take a look at our piggy banks and our money banks and I am certain you will be impressed.
