I don't often get into recommending movies, but I really enjoyed watching 'Martian Child' this past week.

It stars John and Joan Cusack whom I frequently enjoy watching. A widowed man decides to follow through with his deceased wife's plan to adopt a child. As I watched the movie I was so moved by how real and vivid a child's imagination can be. In this case the little boy uses his imagination to protect himself from the trauma of abandonment by his natural parents.

Its a terrific film on parenting particularly if your child perplexingly brilliant. Rent it, watch it and let me know what you think about it!
