The one guarenteed smash hit at a baby shower is a bag. We called them diaper bags, but they always carried so much more.

My diaper bag carried not only a couple of spare diapers, but at least one change of clothes, a couple of thin blankets, a spare bottle or two in thermal jackets, and of course a variety of small toys.

As she got a bit older, the toys got bigger, and then food got added to the bag.  Just going out to dinner became a huge production and I felt like a beast of burden carrying my baby and this huge heavy bag.

Kim, has a couple of adorable bags for babies. They are small backpacks on wheels that carry an amazing amount of stuff.  In addition, there is a plush stuffed animal that detaches so your baby has a cuddly stuffed animal where ever you go.

The pack itself is plush and slips off the wheel assembly so you can throw the pack in the washer!

What's even better, is that as your child wants to walk instead of being carried, she can pull her own little bag. Since these bags dont scream 'diaper bag' they are great for an older childs sleep overs or tote for dance or gym class!
