My Great-niece is doing well.

I had a wonderful opportunity to chat with my niece last week and she reports that Miss Juliette Cady is doing very well. She is performing her job of keeping Mom and Dad up all night perfectly. My other niece (Mom's sister) came to help out the first week home from the hospital and she also had her share of sleep deprevation.

My niece and I had a long chat about the names she and hubby chose for their new darling. They chose Juliette because they are both particularly fond of Shakespeare. So, she is named after the sweet young lover from "Romeo and Juliette". She was also named Cady after Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Elizabeth Cady Stanton was one of those courageous women who worked so hard to get women the right to vote. It was exciting to learn that my niece and I share heros!

My sister is also a soon to be Grandma and we are working on planning a baby shower for for her daughter-in-law. All of these new babies in the family is certainly exciting!
