My niece and her husband held out all through her pregnancy on telling us the name of her baby. She told us the gender when she first found out, but all we could do is guess and make suggestions as to her name.

When my new great niece was born on Monday night, her name was finally revealed. She is Juliette Cady D…. I think it was a great idea to keep her name a secret. It really served to keep the suspension up among the family.

Now, I have heard that my sister's son and his wife are expecting! Our family is growing by leaps and bounds.

One of my own grandchildren is in her teens and the others are not far behind. It is so much fun watching the next generation grow. We get to watch our own children learn to be parents and go through the same struggles we went through ourselves.

Grandparenting is a great time of life.
