Valentine's Day – The day to honor all your sweethearts

My most memorable Valentine's Day fell on a Saturday that all my kids, step-kids, foster-kids and inlaws were around. I did a grand dinner with little valentine cards and gifts at each place. I think my husband had to rig up a sheet of plywood to make a table big enough for all! I bought a length of pink fabric for a table cloth and sprinkled it with heart shaped glitter. For the life of me I can't remember the menu, but I do recall serving pink lemonade! 

It was one of those grand moments in life when I had all the people around that I loved. I recall sitting down at the table watching the kids passing food around the table and just watched so I would have that moment forever in my memory. 

While this year it falls on a Thursday, be sure to slip something special in their lunchbags. Or plan a special dinner with your family to celebrate.
