Black Friday Shopping Rush!
I just finished reading all the ads that came in my Thanksgiving Day newspaper. I live in Columbia, SC and every store here wants me up at 5am to stand in line for their super deals. I am not sure that is such a great thing. I'll be shopping online at Kidoodles by Kim instead.
I love shopping on the internet. I know many of you are hesitant to enter your credit card info on the www.. but my experience of internet shopping has never caused me a problem. My two shopping disasters were on E-bay, when the product delivered was not as advertised and once when I was foolish enough to complete a survey for a 'free gift'. Well, that didn't happen.
Here are some tips on how to shop safely online.
- Use a credit card with a low credit limit. That way if something does happen you are not out thousands of dollars. Visa and Mastercard are very good about covering any losses, but it is an inconvenience to have to cancel your cards and get them re-issued.
- Only shop at sites that have secure ordering. At Kidoodles by Kim we have the highest level of transaction security we could get.
- Keep copies of your orders, shipping information and tracking numbers. A friend of mine that works for the US Postal Service can tell you horror stories about lost mail.
- When completing your order, double check your shipping and billing information. Make sure you give us your phone number so we can call if there is a problem.
Well, I hope you have had a good Thanksgiving and are ready to start in on Christmas. If you want to stand in line at 5 am tomorrow, be sure to take your own coffee.. I will still be snuggled up in bed!
